London's Kitchen
Posted in on 1:19 PM by Amanda
Apparently London is planning to walk in the footsteps of all the fabulous women in her life. Her favorite book is "Spot Bakes a Cake" that her Meme gave her. The last couple of weeks before Christmas she would visit the Toddler room at school so she could get used to it before she started full time after the new year. She loved going over there to play because they had a kitchen playset! When she would go to the nursery at chuch they had one too and she just loved playing with it. So we decided to go on a hunt for one for Christmas. We found an amazing deal and got a $250 playset for $35! We set it up in our bonus room and then let her discover it when she came up the stairs. She was so excited and surprised! Check out the picts below! :-)
London's first Christmas (I'm pretty sure she slept through Christmas last year, so that doesn't count)

It's become a Christmas tradition that Ian makes his mom's cinnamon rolls from scratch. They are amazing! I made some fruit pizza to go with it, though we probably didn't need it since the cinnamon rolls were so big and yummy! Anyway, Dad, Barbara and Drake had spent the night so they were here already. My mom came over for breakfast and presents. London was so funny opening her gifts. She would rip the paper off and throw it over her shoulder. She had a blast!
Later in the day, the Lomas' came over to hang out. London was so excited to see all her grandparents in one day! Zach and Brooke came over. They had just gotten engaged a couple days before Christmas, so it was great to celebrate their engagement too!
We ended the night talking to Ian and Erin on Skype for about an hour. It was so cool to "see" them for little while on Christmas even if it was only on the computer!
What a great day it was! I am already looking forward to next Christmas!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas was so great this year! On Christmas Eve, Mimi and Papa Drake came over and brought London some cool gifts including a giant duck, which she loves!
Later in the day Grandpa Fenlon, Gramma Barbie and Uncle Drake came over. We had a nice dinner and then went to Opryland Hotel to look at the lights. It was really fun to go see the lights on Christmas Eve!

Holiday partytime!

I always look forward to Chirstmastime with all the parties and fun stuff going on. Ian and I were fortunate enough to fellowship with lots of friends and coworkers this season. The party season kicked off with my work Christmas party. We had a great time and I continued my 4 year streak of not winning anything during the door prize drawing!
We are blessed to live in a great neighborhood that gets together often! We were able to go to our Christmas Progressive dinner this year and had a great time! One of our street mothers is always so sweet to take pictures at our events and then send them out afterward!
My partners in crime everyday at work. These ladies keep me sane when the job gets too crazy! :-)

London Walks!

It took London about 3 months of walking with someone to finally get the courage up to walk by herself. It was so exciting to see her learning and taking those first steps. Here's a video montage of her walking. Enjoy!
